5.0 out of 5 stars. I love themVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Utah on Wednesday, July 13, 2016I wear Altras during the summer because I need the additional room and I like the zero drop. I will be using this as my trail winter shoe and I am commenting on the fit and workmanship as I have not run extensively in them yet. I have a normal to wide foot and these accomodate my feet well. The drop is not significant so I think they will work well for the trails. These are very expensive from an MSRP standpoint, but if you can get a good deal on them don't hesitate. You can tell they are very well made and look to be a very durable shoe.

4.0 out of 5 stars. DTS BUGripsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nick from Canada on Sunday, January 10, 2016Pros:
-Shoe fits pretty true to size for a runner.
-The traction on hardpacked snow and ice is second to none.
-Warm
Cons:
-Lots of heel to toe drop, making midfoot striking harder than it needs to be.
-Very loud, especially on pavement. To the point where if you're walking with someone you hard to raise your voice a bit.
In my opinion for this shoe the pros far outweigh the cons. I have tested this shoe at -25 on ice, pavement, hardpacked snow, gravel, etc and it has had outstanding grip on all of these surfaces! Just don't wear them indoors!
