As shown in the photo, it's almost see-through. Only negative is that is seems to wrinkle very easily. I bought 4 and am not sure if I'll be keeping because of the wrinkling issue.

It is a good match, so I ended up getting 5 of these throws. They drape nicely when folded on the back of the couches and do not take up much space. The description is accurate in that they are much like an airy sweater. I can't say how warm they are as the room is warm right now. They look like they will wash well. I did not notice any obtrusive odor when unwrapping them.
