1.0 out of 5 stars. DISAPPOINTED!Reviewed by Anonymous from San Francisco, CA on Sunday, January 3, 2016I hoped to find in these to be comfy shoes that are not ugly, and even rather graceful and feminine. They are pretty; at first, they were comfortable, but I can't wear them longer than one hour. The hoped-for Hush Puppy comfort is not there. I am a standard 5.5, but I do like room for all 5 toes. Sometimes Wides are much better, sometimes they art too wide for my foot. This shoe sends my foot forward to a painfully binding, too narrow toe box, and, yes, the pretty criss cross binds. The toe box is too low and hammers down the nail on my big toe. A size 6 would likely fall off my foot at the heel. I would try it and add a heel pad and a welcome innersole pad, but the toe box would be too tight to allow that. What we need are designers who acknowledge comfort needs, well known in hiking and running shoes and either design ¼-½" wider toe boxes or who at least offer wides. I an 5' tall, 100 lbs, and it seems that wides come in shoes for people with wide ankles and heels and leave small women to suffer in mediums with room for 4 toes! The shoe has no give so I doubt "breaking in" would stretch them to comfortable! I'll see if I can return once worn for two painful hours out oh home--a fateful maiden voyage.
