The length is perfect - not too short but still a youthful length, the fabric is soft and comfortable yet still thick enough to go through hiking brush. I highly recommend owning at least two pairs since they are the 'go to' shorts to have for everything.

These have finally met and exceeded my expectations. I am 5'9 1/2", 150 pounds, and long-waisted. These are the perfect length, which has been difficult to find. Also, the leg opening is slightly smaller than most hiking shorts, which have a tendency to flare out on the sides. These did not flare, but still had room to bend with comfort. Water truly rolls off these shorts like a duck feather. I am very impressed with the fit and function, and more than pleased with the purchase.

I have been looking for years for shorts that fit. The fit looks great and the stretch of the material allows for small fluctuations in weight as well as wide-ranging movement. Bought one pair, then went back for three more.

Pleased with fit. Comfortable waistband. Interior of shorts are constructed with a soft fabric at waist and pockets. Fabric is not "noisy" like some synthetics. Lightweight but not thin. Ordered olive drab. Good color. Side pockets can't really hold anything due to design. Not much room. Good length.

True to size. Wore for three days straight, hiking and biking, they are a little warmer than a different fabric might be, but worth it for the comfort. Love the pockets too. Has a zipper, two snaps, and a tie closure, which seemed like a bit much, but it works. Highly recommend.
