5.0 out of 5 stars. Great jacket!Reviewed by BackpackerMT from Montana on Monday, September 25, 2017Love this coat! I'm 5'6" tall, 135 pounds, an athletic build, and the medium fits great! It's just roomy enough so that I can comfortably wear layers under it. Love the color too! I just got this a week ago and haven't taken this jacket out backpacking yet but wearing it around on a cold night in NW Montana it was toasty warm.

5.0 out of 5 stars. 5 star...if it fitsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Emm from Seattle, WA on Wednesday, November 23, 2016I really wanted this jacket for backcountry skiing in the wet PNW, where down is useless on a winter's day. However, I could not find the right fit for the purpose. I ordered both a medium and a large, whereas I wear size small/medium; 4-6; athletic shoulders (climbing/skiing/running/lifting). The medium had ample room in the body, but was too narrow around neck and shoulders; and would not allow for comfortable layering in the winter. The large was correct in neck and shoulders, but the body length and girth was too big and billowy. Sleeve length was good in both sizes (I like long sleeves, to tuck my hands into when necessary), but very trim around the wrists; the arms were equally trim in both sizes. Everything else besides the fit was perfect: weight; materials; general design; warmth; hood that fits over helmet and is adjustable. The fit isn't stylish. It is boxy and designed for technical use, not fashion. The woman's large felt larger than my husband's medium in this jacket, except for neck line.

3.0 out of 5 stars. between sizesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Emm from Seattle on Thursday, November 17, 2016Exactly what I wanted for backcountry skiing (warm layer to keep in pack), but not a good fit. This is supposed to be a fitted jacket, worn over a shirt or two at most, and is not a roomy jacket despite the boxy appearance of the cut. The torso is short so as to clear a harness (good!); the hood fits over a helmet (good) with a lot of adjustability; the body has ample space (good) and sleeve length is long (good!) but constrictive around wrists (hmmm...); the problem is that this jacket, even as a fitted layering piece of outerwear, is a tad too narrow around neck, and bust for proper layering in winter. I have athletic shoulders and arms (climbing/lifting/body type); small to normal bust 32/34bc, and typically wear a size small or medium (4-6). I ordered this jacket in medium, and the fit around chest will not allow for enough layering in winter. Shoulders were fine with a wool shirt underneath, but would prefer more room in shoulders and in chest. For backcountry in winter, the insulated layer needs to be fit over a few layers of shirts in the damp PNW. Emergency layer also needs to be more roomy to fit over injured skier/climber. Returned.
