I bought them in purple, a delightful color. They are breaking in just as Birkenstocks do, since the cork will adjust to my feet. They are loose fitting, so I can wear socks, which I like to do in the winter, and since the interior is wool, even when I don't wear socks, I feel all the warmth without the dampness and chill that can come from a synthetic liner. This was a great purchase for me. I bought my usual European size.

Each pair usually lasts about 8 years. My last pair got eaten by moths so I tossed them (note to self: spray with moth spray before putting away for the summer!). Great arch which is most important to me. They do run a little large, but I have a narrow foot. The best house shoes ever!

This particular pair of Haflingers is a lovely eggplant color with weird raised furry black stripes. They look like talons. Fifty bucks for Haflinger house shoes is a great price and who cares since they stay at home. But I think they are too weird looking not to mocked! Haha! I still wear them daily and love the comfort and warmth. I just ignore the Killer Barney feet below my pants.

I've always been a fan of the comfort offered from Birkenstocks. Half infer brings that comfort to the inside with their slippers. Warning, they run wide, but with a pair of thick socks they are perfect. Have them on right now!

They were too big, even with socks, so I ordered a size down. They fit great. The recommendation was to order up for half sizes, I did not find this to be the case for this particular pair of haflingers. They will be great this winter.

So, I thought I could order these online and they would fit. Not so. They are almost two sizes too large, both in length and width. I need arch support, and there aren't many slippers that meet that test. So I am undecided about trying the 36 - STP does not have a 35. Needless to say, I'm unhappy about paying for shipping both ways for something that should have fit.

They keep my feet warm in winter, cool in summer. I wear them out until they are threadbare or until I have a new pair of Haflinger's.
