4.0 out of 5 stars. Good rod and reel for the price. Included fly line is worthless.Reviewed by SkiPC from Utah on Monday, August 31, 2015The FC rod casts well, and the 3wt is great for smaller fish. The reel has a smooth, easy to adjust drag system. The prespooled fly line and leader are worthless, however. I would recommend replacing the line immediately, especially if this combo will be used by a beginner. I can't tell if the line was improperly installed or it is just garbage. The fly line has unbelievable memory and stripped line is constantly coiling up, to the point that it must be continuously straightened when reeling it in. Same goes for the leader. I fished it twice on dry flies, and it was constantly twisting up. I had to straighten it after every few cast. I believe the twist in the leader was caused by the twisted fly line.
