The shirt is rather thin but its a super soft cotton and great for layering or for warm weather. Its not see though, so you can wear it by itself. Washes up great. I haven't had any issues with shrinking even though its 100% cotton. I put it in the dryer until damp and then hang to dry the rest of the way. I am 5,4, 130 lbs and busty, so I ordered a large and it fits with room to spare.

I ordered a large as I am 5'10" and weigh 135 lbs and have a long torso and long arms. The fit is perfect. I like the lightweight fabric as it can be worn in cooler weather and also for layering. The design is tasteful. I highly recommend this product.
