The ticking is a little noisy but not too obnoxious. I took off a star because the minute marks are the same all around. It is easier to read the minutes if the mark at each hour number is different. I think most analog clocks and watches are that way. It was inexpensive so if you just need a quick idea of what time it is, this would be great.

The number are big, clear and easy to read and so far (two weeks at this point) the clock is keeping excellent time. It's easy to slip in a AA battery (not included) and hang the clock on a peg or nail in the wall. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
