So to spend $600 for a top end reel wasn't in the cards. The Lamson Guru is a great valve especially buying through the Trading Post. The reel is well constructed, light weight with a smooth drag. I use mine for largemouth bass and some light salt. I recommend this reel to anyone even if your not on a budget
