I thought I may be able to get away with it. After inspection, I see this as a very good buy and quality build for the $$..I would not hesitate to use this for a lightweight reel application.

I bought this for trout,snook, flounder, and redfish on the local Tampa to Sarasota flats. Perfect for 10# mono, silky smooth so far. I haven't had to take it apart yet to service it.
