4.0 out of 5 stars. Fragile strainerReviewed by plevee from oregon on Wednesday, February 7, 2018I've had several Chantal teapots and agree these are the best-designed teapots anywhere. The only problem with this one is the weak weld on the strainer handle. Mine broke after a few weeks and I couldn't find one that fit the pot anywhere. Other than this it is a beautiful and functional pot. The lid stays on and if you pour carefully when the pot is full it does not drip.

The mesh insert is strong and deep, the volume of the pot itself is generous, and the red color is deep and gorgeous. No dripping when pouring. The lid stays solidly on at all but the most extreme angle, and the handle of the lid is comfortable to grip. Glad I bought it, would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Unclear is the sizing. It is said to hold 4 cups. Because it holds 32 liquid ounces, those are mighty big "cups." -

Wonderful teapotReviewed by plevee from Oregon on Tuesday, December 8, 2015Beautiful, well balance and well designed - the lug on the lid fits into the strainer and stops the lid falling off when you pour tea and the strainer and tealeaves can be removed once the tea is infused. This prevents the tea becoming 'stewed' so it retains its fresh flavor and can be reheated throughout the day. Chantal makes the best teapots.

Seeing this one at a great discount - no way could I pass it by. The tea strainer inside is wonderful and easy to clean. I buy loose teas but you could lay a couple teabags in there is that's what you have. I got the blue and it is vibrant and cheery. The only worry I had was getting it delivered intact. No problems, it was well wrapped and arrived in perfect condition.
