4.0 out of 5 stars. Great product, but watch the sizing!

As with just about everything I've had from Carhartt, the quality is great. I really like them. I'd have given them five stars...but I think Carhartt makes stuff for people who want to feel better wearing things slightly smaller than normal! I bought two because they were a great deal, but they'll be going back as they were simply too large for me. I have a whole stack of "normal" (non Carhartt) sweatshirts that are all XL. I ordered an XL in this sweatshirt and it looked like I was a kid trying to wear my dad's clothes...I'm 72" with a 44" chest, 35" waist and 35" arms. The sweatshirt came down about five inches below my waistline and the sleeves came almost to my fingers. And I could have easily fit one of my kids in the sweatshirt with me with as big around as it was. I think they might shrink a little in the wash, but it was just too big (and too expensive) to try it out. I only wish STP still had size L in stock as those would probably fit just fine. Bummer as these are really nice and I'd love to wear them at work...just order a size smaller than normal if you can.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Nice product

Love the sweatshirt but will have to exchange it or return it. I believe they are out of stock in my size. Ordered this sweatshirt w/o reading the reviews. To say it is not sized properly is an understatement. May be miss sized by two sizes. Both me and my wife can fit inside. Would make a great tent.

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
