2.0 out of 5 stars. A little disappointedReviewed by Steve J from Boise, ID on Wednesday, June 20, 2018Ordered this rack to go with Blackburn Local saddlebags I had ordered previously. Those bags had a sloppy fit on my old rack, so I figured since these were designed to go together, it would work perfectly. Wrong! While the locking part holds the top of the saddlebags onto the rack, there is still some play and they can move around. The velcro straps to secure to rack side rails also are placed so that its not good fit. The result is one bump on the trail sent the saddlebags into my spokes, grinding me to a halt, and destroying the corner of my new saddlebags. I would have expected a super secure fit for these products that were designed to be used together. Also key is made out of cheap metal, and I expect it to break. Rack mounts to bike great, but fit with saddlebags is loose adn hazardous. I expected much better

4.0 out of 5 stars. Road testedReviewed by Max V from USA on Friday, March 9, 2018We used these racks along with the Blackburn bags (side and top) on our Pacific Coast tour. Very solid mounting, carried 40 lbs. for 2K miles without a problem. Hint: use locktite on EVERYTHING. We bought our racks and 3 bags from STP for less than the list price of 1 Ortlieb bag. The bags are simple, yet very waterproof (like a whitewater gearbag) and secure nicely with the locking 'trunk'. If one needs the long skewer for the rack it is available from Blackburn for about $25.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Love the conceptVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Baltimore on Monday, October 3, 2016I love the concept of this rack and it works really well and allows me to lock up my bags for short trips to the store without worry. The only issue is the key broke inside the lock on the first day of use, so we returned and got a replacement. I have faith that the key copy I had made at the hardware store will be sturdier than the ones provided, so that's my recommendation if you want to continue to use this rack.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice rack...Reviewed by Clarkswife from Wisconsin on Thursday, March 3, 2016I just installed this rack onto a Cannondale and it looks great. The hardware configuration will adapt to many bikes, even those without attachment points on the frame. (The instructions referred to these as "braze-on" points.) The hardwear finishes off nicely (it doesn't look sloppy). The rack itself is made well and has the unique locking swing arm feature. I'm not sure how secure it would keep bags from less than honorable folks. One feature that the rack has that is not shown are 2 extenders that secure the rack to the seat stay or brake mounts, giving the rack another attachment point to the frame. The lower mount can be attached to the "braze ons" or to the bicycle hub using an extra long quick release. You can always check out the full instructions and options on Blackburns website.
