My head was the least of my injuries but as I went down, I felt the helmet (and my head) hit the pavement. I discarded the old one, I bought another. It fits me well enough; however, I do believe the frontal comfort and the strapping could be improved. The helmet is easily tightened/loosened by the rear adjustment nob and I think the fit/comfort is better than most at this price range. I think it is a good value.

Lots of vents- although I purchased for road riding, it comes with an easy to attach front visor for off road. I got the black version, very cool Matte finish. -

This helmet looks great, is cool/well vented and a very good value.
As new technology appears, I look at it and decide if it works or not. In helmets, MIPS was highly promoted about 2 years ago, for added protection, or so lab tests suggest. I'm a road rider so at least in road circles, I've yet to see a rider in a MIPS helmet of any brand. I'd guess its a mix of issues - as one review says, the added layer keeps the helmet hot. Prices are very high and they tend to weigh more.
While I'm concerned with safety, the MIPS safety claims are in lab tests and may be conducted by sellers, so I see it as neither proven nor disproven.
I really like the Bell on all fronts.

The sizing is close to exact. my head measures about 22 7/8 inches and the medium has a little room left when adjusted fully open. A very thin silk/wool blend beanie will fit under, but wearing a thicker winter scully I would have to size up to a large. over all this helmet is very good, not top of the line but a very good helmet.
