It would be great on a stand as a display piece (mine is in my cabin kitchen) but you can also use it to serve appetizers! It is a little narrow to actually serve fish, but it is beautiful. The price is excellent, too.

My sister says it was packed really well, looks like the picture and is an interesting and quality piece that she may just display instead of using for fish. Not sure if it's dishwasher safe, but she says she would only hand wash.
