(Maybe if it was eight cups of the small cups that come with it.). However, it's perfect for my needs. I am using it in my RV and don't need more than a couple cups of coffee, mug size. It would also make a nice gift as some have mentioned.

I put my loose tea leaves in, pour in the hot water, let sit for 8 minutes then plunge the filter down! Perfect for my needs. The glass cups are *little* as this is a bistro style set, but that is the appeal of the set. If you need a 16 mug of coffee to glug this will not work for you.
