4.0 out of 5 stars. Light and tightVerified Buyer Reviewed by Texas skier from El Paso, Texas on Tuesday, March 22, 2016Well made and lightweight. Very athletic cut and no chest pocket. Just didn't fit me and so it went back.

4.0 out of 5 stars. High quality jacket, zippers not up to standardReviewed by Anonymous from NY on Sunday, February 21, 2016I'm 5'9, 155 lb, 40 chest, size M is perfect. Got it in grey/blue, color is kind of metallic, really nice. Incredibly warm given the weight. Tried it under a gore tex for skiing, but it does not breathe that much. Only 4 stars because of zippers, especially pockets zippers. Fabric get so often stuck in zipper that I gave up zipping it up. No chest pocket and inside pockets (kind of net) are pretty loose.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Well designed jacketReviewed by Sirt from Toronto Canada on Wednesday, February 17, 2016I'm 5-10, 160 lbs and a medium fits perfectly. It is fitted without much extra room. The jacket is well made and very light weight (by design) and warm given its weight. The jacket length is perfect (not too short). It is good on its own if temp. is near freezing and a good layer otherwise. Great color.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Not much fill...Verified Buyer Reviewed by Eric from michigan on Monday, January 25, 2016Most of the cost of this coat must be in the super light fabric for when every gram counts. It is incredibly light weight and you hardly know you are wearing a coat. This coat would blow right off the side of a mountain in a 5MPH gust if you took it off. It seems about same fill as my Mnt Hardwear micro ratio 650 fill, (which I can actually wear under the Yeti as a base to make a 1450 fill ;-). but I needed one with a hood. When I held it up to the sun, the sunlight goes right through the fabric and fill in areas. It seemed warm enough in temps around 30F with a t-shirt base and no wind. No problem with the quality, fit and finish are fine. But was hoping 800 fill would be thicker than, like a 1/4 to 1/2 inch. I figure I will have to really layer up underneath if we ever get any bad weather this year in SE Michigan.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Very well made but too thin to be useful for meVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from baltimore on Monday, January 4, 2016The fit and feel of this hoodie are wonderful but, at around 8-9 ounces total, there's just insufficient down to create adequate trapped air space to provide reasonable insulation. I opened the jacket and allowed the down to expand for two days before I tried it on and the loft was still minimal. Construction quality is superb, the hood fits well and the copper color is attractive. Look for something in the 12-13 ounce range if you need a warm layer.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very nice, despite the priceReviewed by Portlander from Portland, OR on Sunday, December 27, 2015I've had my eye on an ultra light-weight down sweater/jacket for years. Never quite had the means to pull the trigger on one. This year was finally the year, so I ordered up this and the Marmot Quasar, since the MHGW was out of stock in my size. Well, after getting both, this one was very noticeably lighter and slightly warmer. The two-way zipper (as mentioned, left-handed -- no idea why) and stuff-sack pocket were also nice extra touches. Also, it seemed slightly longer in the torso, which is always appreciated, though I didn't measure so don't necessarily quote me on that.
Do all those small features add-up to justify an extra $100+? Hard saying, but 1) you /are/ getting something for the money 2) if you don't mind a slight splurge and want the best, well, I'd have to say this is the best. As for me, I keeping this one and sending the Marmot back.
Finally, regarding size, definitely true to size. I'm generally between a small & medium. I ordered a small, and the fit was perfect for me: room to move even with a layer or two underneath, and good length in the arms and torso. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Better than Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer !Reviewed by Anonymous from FL on Thursday, December 17, 2015This is as high quality of a lightweight jacket you can buy. Think the hooded Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer (MHGW) when looking at this jacket. I reached out to Yeti and they said the fabric is 7x10D and fill weight is 90g; same fabric as MHGW which has less down at 79g. In medium MHGW is 7.9 oz and Yeti Cut 8.3 oz, however, besides the additional down it has more/better features including: elastic wrists that actually block out wind, adjustable hood, and zipper draft guard on front and back (vs just back). Both have flimsy zippers that leave what to be desired. In terms of fit, forget STP sizing guide. Go with your usual size (ie M for 38-40 chest). It fits somewhat slimmer than the MHGW but not as slim as Arcterx Cerium LT.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Sizes listed on STP are incorrect; jackets are NORMAL sized, so order what you normally would.Reviewed by Anonymous from Seattle, WA on Thursday, December 10, 2015Great jacket. Yeti does down goose feathers justice. There's only one other review on STP of a Yeti product (another men's jacket) and he complained that their jacket was too small and complained about the zipper being on the left, yet the reviewer didn't list their stats or what size they bought so it's a pretty useless review (I hate it when people do this; FYI not everyone is the same shape....). I listened to STP and the reviewer and ordered a "M" sized jacket (listed as 34-36 in chest). I normally wear a S and sometimes XS (5'4" 125lbs male w/ 38" chest) and prefer a tight athletic fit. The S was listed as 30-32 chest which is baby sized!!! Once I received the jacket though, I noticed that it was HUGE! A true medium. I'm guessing its a 40" chest or maybe even bigger. It's very frustrating that I went by STP's and the previous review's advice only to get burned. So order what you normally would order. I'd want an exchange for a S, but the color I have has been sold out on the size so a refund is in order.
I inspected the jacket before I sent it back though. Great product with adjustable hood and it looks really nice. It's very, very light and packable. I cannot say anything about the warmth of it since my jacket was way too big for a proper fit, but the packing was thin. It has a normal fit to it (not slim or athletic), but the drawstring can tighten things up a bit. I laugh at the other reviewer giving the other Yeti jacket 1 star and complaining about the left zipper... He is obviously inexperienced, but for those new to the European side of things, you should be aware that they are all this way (Haglofs, Yeti, etc have left-handed zippers; don't ask me why), so that complaint is kind of moot. Look up Yeti. They make some of the finest Down sleeping bags and jackets, yes, better than Arc'teryx and the like. But no amount of craftsmanship can correct for incorrect sizing.
Disappointed in the other reviewer and how STP listed sizes. Please remeasure and report back.
