His feet have stayed warm and dry for hours of snow play, including walks to school in 17 degree F weather and below. The soles seem to have good grip as he's not slipping on anything other than glare ice, and even then they seem to have pretty good traction. They are easy for him to put on by himself although the lining does bunch once in a great while if he's not paying attention when putting them on. The toggle cinch at the top has been very good at keeping the snow out. Overall these boots were a great purchase since they keep him warm and dry in a variety of weather conditions allowing him to really enjoy his winter adventures.
