5.0 out of 5 stars. Finally a great pair of boys sneakersReviewed by Laura from Maine on Tuesday, September 22, 2015I've been searching for a good sturdy pair of sneakers for my almost 5 year old for a couple months now, and it's surprisingly hard to find! There are a lot of poorly made sneakers out there, or ones that are just terribly ugly, or are otherwise are dysfunctional for a small kid to use. The sneakers that are good quality are outrageously priced! These cute little sneakers are perfect, and the price here is of course a great deal! They seem well constructed, with good stitching, solid support, and traction. I love the simplicity of the Velcro too, over all the new bungee/toggle systems which are trickier for a kid to tighten I think. This is ideal for my preschool aged son, who could probably learn to tie anytime now, but also needs to be independent at school all winter with changing in and out of snow boots several times a day. I appreciate the cute styling too, which is age appropriate and timeless, no lights or characters, just nice bright colors that go with all his clothes and are appealing to both me and my son. Win-win. My son wears a 13 or 13.5, and I went with 13 for these since they didn't make half sizes(about the only thing I would have liked different), and they fit perfect with just a touch of room, so I would say they run true to size. The rounded toe box is nice and roomy, and accommodated his slightly wide foot nicely. Here's hoping they hold up....
