1.0 out of 5 stars. Outdoor Products Solstice 50 ReviewReviewed by Anonymous from California on Saturday, July 22, 2017I purchased my first Solstice 50 Outdoor Products backpack at Dick’s Sporting Goods when on a trip to Michigan. The night before I was to leave to return to San Diego I noticed that there was a strap missing. When I arrived back in San Diego I went to Dick’s and returned it for a refund as there were none in stock. I purchased another Solstice 50 from Dick’s online. I really liked the backpack but when I went to use it for the 3rd time I found the stitching was torn out inside the pack at the top were the internal frame is kept in place. I looked more closely at the backpack and realized what the real issue is. The design is bad. There is a handle on the top of the pack (I presume to lift the pack) which cannot handle the weight of the pack if it is full. This is why the stitching pulled out after only 2 uses (6 months since purchase). So ok I contact Outdoor Products and am informed that in order to get it repaired or replaced I have to pay to have it shipped back to Outdoor Products and they will decide what to do. I explained that I did feel that I should not have to pay anything. This should be covered under their warranty. Long story short they refused. This is why I would never recommend anyone purchase anything from this company as they do not honor their warranty without costing you even more.

Solstice backpack with sleeping bag holder loop issueVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Upstate New York on Sunday, April 17, 2016Backpack is designed well except that during the first 2hrs of use, one of the loops that is used to secure the sleeping bag holder broke. Submitted a warranty request to Outdoor Products and have been waiting for a response and directions on how to proceed for get a replacement backpack sent to me. Other than this, the backpack works well.
