I ordered again the next size smaller and they are now perfect. I would give these a higher rating however the velcro straps dont stay 100% of the time while I am wearing them.

The strap design is very flattering. Fits well with good adjustments. If you have a wide foot you may find the strap is not long enough. It runs from the toe into the ankle. I have a tall foot. At first It seemed too short but by tightening the toe area I got the length I needed. The bed is well padded and comfortable. The sole curves up a bit in the front for easy walking. Good grippy bottom. Description says they work well in water but I would worry about how well the straps could take that kind of abuse. They are fairly narrow and I have had other shoes where they simply pull out. Mabye Columbia designed these to handle the stresses

They were too long (I ordered my regular size 8), in that they looked like the front just stuck out. There was also a little ridge built into the footbed right at the toes and it rubbed on my feet. I was worried that it might cause a blister. I sent them back.

But the strap across the front is too far back, I feel like I am going to catch the sole on something and trip. Also, the lining is wrinkling under my toes after just a few wearings.

I'm an average medium and these ran wide on my fore-foot. I wanted something that didn't look to sporty and these just don't work for me. Sent them back.

It was comfortable from the first try. My only complaint is that is is a wee bit long in the foot bed, so perhaps I would have liked a half size down. It looks sturdy, but is light weight and attractive.
