My boyfriend and I both have larger versions and we take them with us whenever we travel. They're super light weight and pack down really small. It saves a lot of money to buy a big cheap jug of water and keep filling one of these up every day instead of buying pricey water bottles everywhere when overseas. They're also great for the airport because you can fill them up at a drinking fountain after you get through security and avoid paying $6 for a tiny bottle of water there too. I just bought one this size for my Mom who uses it for that purpose and loves it. They pay for themselves, really!

I purchased 2 of them with the thought to trek them back to our first night so we had cooking water. They are a little smaller than I would have liked. I used them and they did work. The clip is priceless. I now have 2 of the 1L bottles as well.

This one has a different cap that is bulky and does not allow bottle to pack flat. I'll stick to the old design. Returned.
