Should hold the small stuff that floats around in a bag and gets lost. For a sandwich bag, perhaps when I go hiking I'll give them a try but I can see where cleaning the corners may be an issue not opening up all the way.

They're plenty big enough to hold my camera battery charger and wire, which some organizing pouches aren't. It's even large enough to carry my small binoculars. Looking at the seams in the inside, I agree that cleaning out leaked sandwich contents would be a chore.
