3.0 out of 5 stars. Huge calf widthVerified Buyer Reviewed by Pine Tree from New York on Tuesday, July 12, 2016These boots are beautifully made, but the calf width is enormous. I thought with the elastic insert, it would fit snug. I'm going to see if a shoe repair, might be able to remove the elastic somehow, because that is the only way they'll fit. I've purchased tall black Timberland boots for the past 10 years and have never had this problem. My legs are not skinny.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Bad fitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bettina from Jackson Hole, WY on Sunday, July 3, 2016Not only did these boots fit like a 7 (I ordered an 8), but they were awfully narrow. At first I considered exchanging them for a bigger size, but I don't think that would have made a difference width-wise. Therefore, I decided against the hassle of most likely having to return them a second time. The calf was also way to loose, considering the tight fit in the foot and ankle. Just an odd fit.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Beautiful, quality boots but size runs smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Atlanta worker from Atlanta on Wednesday, January 13, 2016These look like nice quality boots, but the size didn't work for me. In some shoes, I wear medium width, but in others I need a wide width. These were definitely too narrow. My foot felt scrunched inside the shoe. On a positive note, the calf area was generous without being too big. I have big calves and most boots don't work for me. I wouldn't call these exactly a wide calf, but they were wider than "average" boots, so it had just enough extra circumference to be comfortable. The height of the shaft was just a bit too tall for my 5-2 height. The boots hit a little too close to my knees to be comfortable. I wish they worked for me, but the shoe was not quite wide enough and the shaft was just a little too tall for me. The quality and construction were nice. If they fit better, it would be very much worth the very reasonable price offered on STP.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Solid boot, good buyVerified Buyer Reviewed by CeeJay from Snohomish County, Washington on Wednesday, January 6, 2016As a runner and weight lifter, it's always a big question whether boots will fit over my 17" calves. These do fit fine and comfortably so. They're not too tight and the gore provides some give for total mobility. They're well made, and while the forefoot was a little snug out of the box, I was still able to wear them with wool socks. Over time, I am confident they'll give a bit and fit like a glove. They will get a lot of use for the rest of this winter.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Great soles...butVerified Buyer Reviewed by mom from Washington on Friday, December 11, 2015Really wanted this boot to work for me as it has the nice stretch panels to accommodate my large calves. Sadly, the ankle area was so stiff it hurt too much to even try to break them in around the house.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Sharp BootsReviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Thursday, December 3, 2015Well made. Not cheap looking at all. Appreciate the bit of stretch in well placed elastic panel that is comfortable on not so skinny calves (16"). Super cute with leggings and long sweater. Really like the comfort of the low heal. These boots seem quite durable, as well. The only thing keeping it from five stars is thick wool socks are a no go. Too tight, but fine with regular and thin. Very little slip in this 8M heal. Will enjoy these boots for many years to come. Thank you!

3.0 out of 5 stars. Just averageVerified Buyer Reviewed by Indy Mom from Indianapolis on Monday, November 30, 2015These boots are made of leather that's fairly stiff, not supple. I didn't find them that comfortable for walking, kind of klunky!
About 6 years ago, I purchased some Blondo boots from STP and these Timerland boots are not nearly as nice. Also the calf portion of the boots seemed fairly large on my slim/average calves.
They are going back. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Fantastic Boots!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Shauna from Nevada on Tuesday, November 24, 2015Quite possibly the best boot purchase I've ever made. Built tough, not too narrow, wears all day easily, stylish and a looser calf. My absolute favorite boot ???
