4.0 out of 5 stars. Overall happyVerified Buyer Reviewed by MimiMama from Baja CA Mx on Saturday, February 20, 2016I wear a 6.5 and these are definitely big enough, I almost thought I should return as they do have a very wide toe box, and I even have a bunion on each foot. Plenty of wiggle room for toes. Sturdy, lightweight....haven't had a chance to see how waterproof they are, but should be fine. I got the grey/blue color and they don't show too much dirt so far.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Finally a shoe that is true to its size...Verified Buyer Reviewed by MMC from MN on Wednesday, February 10, 2016This is the 4th pair of hiking shoes I've tried, from three different manufacturers. This is labeled size 9, and it's actually a size 9. The toe box is quite wide, but it's fine, there's room for thicker socks. The sole is rugged and not too stiff, and it's a nice looking and comfortable shoe. The only wish they were waterproof.

4.0 out of 5 stars. ComfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Heidi in WY from Wyoming on Sunday, December 27, 2015These shoes have good out-of-the-box comfort and true size. If your foot is narrow you might find them wide in the toe box, but for my foot (bunions) they were comfortable. I use a lacing trick to cinch up the heel which is also a bit wide. I bought them for summer use, so I will see how they hold up for off trail high desert hiking.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from North Carolina on Thursday, December 3, 2015I have only worn these once but find them comfortable and well made; I expect several hikes out of these.
The only con is that I have a narrow foot and these shoes feel almost too roomy, especially around the toe area. This makes the fit seem more like a boot versus a sneaker. I am sure I can mitigate this with heavy socks or doubling up with socks as needed -
2.0 out of 5 stars. DisappointedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Milwaukee on Sunday, November 15, 2015This would have been my fourth pair of Merrell hikers. I purchased these because of the price. I purchased the size I always wear in Merrell shoes. The shoe size was fine but they were too loose or wide. I do not hhave narrow feet. The shoes felt like they were unisex, sized more for a men's foot. Unless you have wide or large feet o don't recommend these shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good comfortable shoeReviewed by lylesmom from Massachusetts on Saturday, November 7, 2015These have a nice wide toe box, are adjustable enough to fit the low volume foot and snug into the heel beautifully, making a comfortable shoe for a variety of foot types. They have good support and should hold up on the trail for awhile.
