Our granddog is an active black lab and this works well for him. The bowls are fine for 2 cups of kibble but a bit small for water. I solved the problem by taking out one of the bowls and putting a larger stainless steel bowl on the stand for water. The main pros are the fact that it is raised for a big dog, and that it collapses for easy storage. Not sorry I purchased this.
