Ends are not flush to each other, so as a standard cutting board, it's not flush to your flat surface.

Pretty Nifty Kitchen AidReviewed by oakhill from Pennsylvania on Sunday, January 17, 2016I wasn't sure what to expect with this item, but am pretty impressed with how well made it is, and the functionality factor.I like being able to sweep chopped or sliced items into the built in drainer. Trying to then dump them into something else - ie. frying pan, salad bowl etc., is a little awkward, but doable. I discovered that the place I where wanted to store it isn't big enough (height or depth-wise - this thing is long) which created something of a challenge, but I still like this item and am glad I bought it.
