Great find!Reviewed by Anonymous from Virginia on Sunday, January 31, 2016I am 5 ft 4 in and have been looking for a raincoat that would suit all 4 seasons and be suitable for formal and informal events alike. This raincoat is perfect! I am so happy with the size, fit, length, color, feel, and "extra stuff". For size: it fits both body length and width as well as arm length and width. For fit: I think it looks flattering yet is able to keep me warm and dry. For length: it covers all of the appropriate areas and allows for movement. For color: not too bold yet very pretty shade of purple. For feel: it will keep me warm in cold rain/wind in the summer and still allows me to wear layers on during the colder months. For the "extra stuff": there are just enough pockets and they have a good size. There is one pocket on the inside of the left side of the jacket that is small but would fit/hide money, chapstick, etc. I hope that this raincoat lasts me many years!

It is great to wear with long tops, leggings and boots. I got the black color and really like the little camo green trim. Not crazy about the interior being white but it is fine. For the price this is a great coat.

That means the material will stick to your skin of you sweat. But I love the length and shape of the jacket. It would be excellent if you are going to layer the jacket over another jacket.

I ordered a small based on the reviews that stated that the jacket runs large, but I did not find that to be the case. I'm 5'8", 130 lbs. and the small was TOO small. Too bad a medium was not in stock.

With my coupon, I was able to get it for around half of the retail price, an excellent deal. I tried it on before I gave it to her, and like most North Face items it ran about a size small on me. We're around the same size, so when I ordered it I suggested she buy up a size which worked out perfectly.
The coat is very nice, and exactly what she was looking for. The longer length is great, the fit is flattering with the adjustable waist shaping, and the blue is basically navy, which will go with everything. She was specifically looking for "not black" and was hoping for a prettier blue, but for anyone who wants something more neutral it would be perfect. Anyway, it fit the bill for her and if I hadn't already bought a new Gore-Tex jacket last winter (from Sierra Trading Post!), I would have considered buying one for myself too. It would work for both casual weekend wear, and also with work clothes.
