5.0 out of 5 stars. Very comfortableReviewed by S T P fan! from Pennsylvania on Monday, January 2, 2017I am used to minimalist athletic shoes and the move to these has been easier than it would have been if I were not. Tested them in light rain today and my socks were dry when I got home. A huge plus for me. The cold cuts right through, so if you plan on wearing these in cold weather make sure you have really warm socks.

5.0 out of 5 stars. a shoe for foot healthVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bill the vivo guy from Texas on Tuesday, September 27, 2016The vivobarefoot chukka boots I bought, along with other vivobarefoot shoes, have reversed problems I have long experienced with my feet. The concept of the shoes is simple: the human being is designed to walk on bare feet. The vivo shoes promote this concept with a wide toe box, allowing the toes to spread in a natural fashion while walking. The soles are flat and flexible providing an optimum "bare foot" walk in a comfortable minimalist shoe environment. I am older but very active. My feet had lost a great deal of feeling due to the tight fitting rigid shoe choices I have historically. The vivobarefoot shoes have reversed that and a remarkable amount of feeling has returned to my feet. And oh yes I constantly get compliments on the great look of the shoes.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great deal at this priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by FlatPhil from North Carolina on Wednesday, August 17, 2016Solid and well-built. Stiffness of sole (at least initially) and leather midsole reduces ground feel beyond what I'd expect from Vivo, but not to zero. They are, however, the best zero drop zero arch all-around shoes I've found, and at the sale price I'd buy another color too if they had in my size.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Pretty but huge, very minimalVerified Buyer Reviewed by alex treks from oakland, ca on Monday, August 15, 2016I ordered a 42 (I'm generally a 41 in women's but it said "half sizes order up" and I wanted a looser fit). These were huuuge. I'd say order a size down, if anything. Also, I'm used to minimalist athletic shoes which tend to wrap the foot and feel secure - these are just flat and roomy - no interior shaping whatsoever. I hope that makes sense.
They are beautifully made, however, and I do plan to try a women's model in hopes that they run narrower. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable but squeaksVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jason from CO on Thursday, August 11, 2016The shoes have been comfortable but they squeak/creek when I walk. I thought it might go away as I broke them in but so far no luck. They are pretty loud but otherwise I've liked them.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Almost perfectVerified Buyer Reviewed by HB from SLC< UT on Tuesday, May 10, 2016My second set of Vivo, my first being some ultra light fabric tennis shoes that are truly designed to go sockless. These on the other hand should probably be worn with socks. Very comfortable and very well made but they don't deserve five star rating due to zero insole. Not a deal breaker, I simply had to buy a large insole and cut it down to fit, once I did they were much improved. But that is added expense and hassle, so no five star for Vivo.
