This is a VERY warm jacket. It fit a little big at first so I washed it. Fits perfect and is my go to winter coat. I have no idea why it’s a factory second.

My boyfriend works outside in harsh conditions, every winter he comes home freezing and takes a scolding hot shower and still comes out cold. This year I got him a carhartt bib and this jacket and he hasn't been cold yet! Not to mention it's water proof as well. The only negative, which aren't bad at all, is that it's stiff and needs to broken in to and it was a size larger. My boyfriend (he is 6'4 and 340lbs) wears a 4x in everything but undershirts since he like them a little smaller, so I got the regular 4x jacket and it fit him more like a 5x.

Very happy with carhartt artic clothing. It is very thick and durable. Have had no issues with any carhartt that I have bought from sierra trading post. Everything looks great, great quality and price.

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
