This year I got him a carhartt bib and this jacket and he hasn't been cold yet! Not to mention it's water proof as well. The only negative, which aren't bad at all, is that it's stiff and needs to broken in to and it was a size larger. My boyfriend (he is 6'4 and 340lbs) wears a 4x in everything but undershirts since he like them a little smaller, so I got the regular 4x jacket and it fit him more like a 5x.
