5.0 out of 5 stars. boot for irrigation or feeding horses in the mud
Reviewed by Donald horseman from Sweet, Idaho on Friday, January 22, 2016
Bought a 12 for summer and a 13 for winter. the 12's are snug with a thick sock so will work well for summer with thinner sock. The 13's are wider and longer, and with the same sock was not loose but much larger, enough so I could wear an even heavier weight wool sock, which was the plan. I just fed the horses in the 13's and the pasture is quite muddy with heavy clay soil that can grab a boot right off your foot. Had no problems with that so I will be keeping both pairs. The 13's are more like 14's so they run big, I would say the 12's are a size and a half smaller than the 13's, so about a 12 and a half. They do fit snugly around the ankle and are easy to walk in on iced up snow and deep mud.

Wearing them once in my muddy/snowy/wet yard, the soles have great traction, very comfortable, and feet dry. My shoe size is 10/10.5 and I got a 10, they are a bit snug and probably would have ordered 11, but STP didn't have them in that size. great value for what seems like a workhorse boot
