All of his measurements said he would wear a large, but after reading a few reviews I thought this coat might fit big so I sized down to a medium (this was also the only size available at the time). Thankfully, it fits him well. I have learned Carhartt normally runs big in any clothes they make. My dog is an indoor/outdoor farm dog so the coat was kind of funny for him to wear, but he's getting use to it.
