5.0 out of 5 stars. Desert bootReviewed by TD from Southwest USA on Wednesday, October 13, 2021I got 2,500 miles, or so, out of these boots hiking in the high desert, where there are jagged rocks, course sandy flats, and slippery accents and descents. The temperatures ranged from the winter time lows of 20 degrees (F) to blazing summertime temps of 100+ (F) . The narrow (M) sizes I did not like. The wide (W) sizes are very comfortable and with a 1/2 larger size boot then insole inserts can be added for additional support. There is a cushion in the heal which is a perfect knee saver. Once they are broken in (approximately 5 miles) they are great for all day hiking.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Just did not work for me.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Rich from Arizona on Thursday, July 2, 2020I tried these while on a quest for a new hiking boot. They are extremely comfortable, with a large toebox and cushy footbed. Unfortunately the high ankle was painful on my leg. I found the Alico Jackson (currently on sale for $35 less than I paid) to be the boot for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent hiking/backpacking bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mike from Colorado on Thursday, June 18, 2020A very good hiking/backpacking boot from Asolo, which looks to be sold exclusively at Sierra. Nice combination of features, with mixed leather/mesh upper that is the perfect combination of strength/flexibility/weight/support. Very good lacing design and lug placement, well designed tongue gusset, heel support and toe cap. Nice Vibram sole with good tread design and shock absorption. Fits well overall and is quite comfortable. Just a great all-around boot.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Superb product & deliveryVerified Buyer Reviewed by Blazer21 from Tennessee on Tuesday, June 16, 2020Excellent all around experience from the product ordered to the extremely fast delivery timeline! Also has to return a couple of products (fit) and received a very smooth return and refund process. First shopping experience with Sierra, but is the first of many to come. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great boots!Verified Buyer Reviewed by The Rabid Stoat from NM on Sunday, June 7, 2020I still have my old FSN 95 boots but they're totally worn out. This model is pretty close in features and also available in wide for my flippers. First outing, I took these on what was supposed to be a quick, 4 mile out-and-back. We got turned around, had to bivouac, and ended up bushwhacking through miles of dead and down trees. No break-in, no blisters.

5.0 out of 5 stars. A great boot at a great price!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Shaka from Hawaii on Thursday, March 19, 2020This is a go to boot for the user. We hike in areas with wet grass, cold mornings and sometimes rough terrain with jagged rocks. This boot keeps your feet nice and dry and the Vibram soles hold up pretty well. The boots fit well with a little wider toe box that makes it comfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Best boots ever!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Wisefish from NorCal on Wednesday, March 18, 2020I have owned lots and lots of boots over the last 40 years. This is my second pair of Asolo hiking boots. My last pair were normal width and I need a wide width so they did not fit great. This time I ordered the wides in my normal size 11.5. From the moment I put them on I knew these would become my favorites. The last is fairly stiff, which is a bonus for long hikes on uneven ground. The ankle support is really good. The gussetted tongue keeps all the debris out. The lacing system is solid and easy to adjust tension on. The heel cup really holds your heel in place and prevents hot spits/blisters. The sole grips well but isn't sticky or rubbery and feels like it will last many hundreds of miles. I haven't tested the waterproofness but my last pair are still waterproof after 3 years of unbelievably hard use. I can't say enough good things about these boots. I'm probably an Asolo fan for life after this. As a bonus...these boots look really nice.
