5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Purchase

Great purchase of a factory 2nds boots from Sierra Trading Post.

I used to shop online only in Amazon. Yet when I noticed the exceptional low price of Red Wing boots offered here, I made a purchase after reading other's comments.

It turns out to be the best choice for purchasing a Red Wing boot. The quality is good. And the shipment is fast. More importantly, the price is cheap.

The only minor defect is there is a tiny scratch (about 2mm) on the surface. I doubt it might be caused during the shipment. Other than this, the shoes are great.

Great Purchase and definitely will buy another pair soon.

This pair of boots will be very comfortable to wear for a long time, the soles are very hard, but I ’m used to it after a long time, the size is too large, you can buy a small size

I've only worn these a couple of times so far, so cannot speak much to the long-term experience. On first impression, these are beautiful boots. A couple scuffs, but nothing worse than they'll have after I wear them a few times. The insole is fairly hard, but I expect that will soften up as I break them in. The laces are a bit short and getting my foot in and out is a bit difficult because the shoe is very stiff. Again, I expect the shoe to soften up over the next month or two. Right now I'm thrilled with these shoes!

I'm loving these boots. They seem to be built solidly, yet are stylish enough I can wear them to the office. You'll need to give them a little more time to break in than other shoes/boots, however. I wore them seven days in a row when I first got them. By the end of that week they were feeling pretty good, in fact on day six I walked more than three miles in them at a parade and fall festival and had no discomfort. This was my first pair of Red Wing boots, but I like them so well, I just today ordered a pair of Red Wing Merchants from Sierra Trading Post. Since these boots can be resoled, they're going to last me for many years to come. :-)

About Red Wing

With a heritage dating back to 1905, Red Wing Shoes are legendary as an American success story. One Red Wing shoe style was standard GI-issue for WWI soldiers, and after emerging successfully from the Great Depression and the Second World War, the Red Wing brand name became synonymous with reliable, comfortable leather shoes and boots. Norman Rockwell, the artist famous for Americana artwork, even created a series of drawings for Red Wing Shoes. In the 1970s, Red Wing Shoes spread to Canada, Mexico, South America and Europe, offering its popular line of leather work boots and shoes. Red Wing has broadened its scope to offer everything from casual leather lace-up shoes and loafers to rugged work boots to thong sandals. Today, Red Wing runs three production facilities employing hundreds of expert craftsmen, but still makes each pair of oxfords, loafers, work boots and athletic shoes by hand.
