4.0 out of 5 stars. Love the boot, strongly dislike the aluminum cleatsReviewed by Sean from Steelhead Alley. on Thursday, April 9, 2026I’ve been using these boots since early November, and I’ve already had to buy replacement aluminum cleats ($99) because the originals keep coming loose and getting lost. I over-tightened one of them, which caused it to break off and leave the stem behind in the boot—a real pain to dig out.
The rubber cleats provide decent grip, but the aluminum ones (when they stay in) offer noticeably better traction in most conditions. Overall, the boots themselves are comfortable and easy to walk in all day.
