  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Cozy Boots

I like this product so far. I bought them more as a rain boot so I have not had the chance to try them in the snow. I am normally a solid 7.5 wide but after reading some reviews I decided to go with an 8. It fits well when I am wearing thick socks, but they are a little loose when I have thin socks on.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Sorel Goes Fashionista

I have a pair of old-school Sorel Carabou boots (Canadian made) that I got thirty years ago and still wear daily. About five years ago I ordered and replaced the linings and they are still going strong. These new Tivoli boots are more slimline and are very cute, but they aren't made the same as Sorels from years past. A Columbia Sportswear salesperson said that some Sorels are more for fashion than weather, so the buyer needs to know which she is buying. I rinsed the soles and toe tops of these boots in the sink, and the inner lining got soaked, so I wouldn't recommend walking through puddles. Also, some stiching is a little loose in the toe. They are good for kicking around, but I wouldn't count on them for harsh cold wet winter weather. Hope they last.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
