Great shoes. I also own the NNormal Kjerag, and these are more comfortable and stable, with absolutely excellent grip. That said, the Kjerag is lighter, and the BOA system is fantastic, super easy to use. I honestly wish all my road and trail running shoes have this feature. For $99 USD, these shoes offer one of the best price-to-quality ratios you can find.

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Awful
Reviewed by Brian from Denver on Friday, May 15, 2026
These are legitimately the worst trail shoe I have ever worn. I have a very healthy shoe rotation, have worn many many trail shoes and I have never felt anything less responsive than this shoe. They feel like cardboard, just completely flat. I even bought the carbon plate, thinking these would be great, and it made them almost as good as my least response pair of brooks trail shoes. On top of that, the lugs are huge, they actually catch on any technical terrain and make it more likely that you’ll trip or turn an ankle. Don’t be fooled by the BOA dial, there’s a reason no companies use them, they don’t apply pressure well for running. Please don’t make the same mistake, avoid these shoes entirely

These shoes are well made and comfortable. It says MEN, but they are women's shoes (It says so right on the box). Order the right size accordingly.
There are supposed to be carbon insert plates in the box that go under the cushion. These plates were not there, and apparently other folks had the same problem with a missing component that gives the shoe support.
Unfortunately, we have no Fed ex place in my corner of Alaska, so I have to eat the $100. or find a Cinderella and put it on her feet. They are rather good looking and their soles feel like Crocs. I will hold on too them and maybe they fit my neighbor, she can wear them around her apartment.
