4.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight support hikerVerified Buyer Reviewed by Houston shopper from houston, tx on Thursday, August 4, 2011Nice boots, for the weight and price probably unbeatable. I do think the soles are the weak link, not enough rubber on the ground for great traction, but worked really nicely on my day hikes around N.C.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Extreme lightness and comfort.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Rokko Ranger from Kobe, Japan on Tuesday, July 5, 2011I originally bought my size but found them to be about 1 to 1 and a half sizes too small. I found I took a size 11 and a half in this shoe (with hiking socks) when I'm usually a size 10. Now I have the right size they are extremely comfortable and I feel I could walk all day in them. They offer good ankle support, too. Because it's so hot here, I chose the non gore-tex version, which can be a bit sweaty, and it's working out well. They're not waterproof, but when treated they are at least rain proof or splash proof. So light they're hardly noticeable. I do 50km charity day-hikes (12-14hrs) and these will definitely be used next time. I'll always take into consideration weight of boots in the future. It makes a vast difference to your stamina and comfort.
