I have teied Saloman but they did not last and it was difficult to replace under warranty.
So far i am impressed with the quality and fit of the Adidas. I'm hoping they hold up in the long run. -

I wear a size 13 which fits perfectly with enough room in the toe box area of the shoe.

I got them in black with the gray base and they look sharp. They are also very grippy on all surfaces, especially wet surfaces. Haven't taken them on a hike yet, but have walked about 50 miles around the city so far with no complaints.

I took them on a 10 mile hike over rocks, sand, tree branches and water and they held up very well. The only negative I had was that the insoles didn't really have much cushion to them so by the end of the hike my feet were hurting pretty bad(after that long of I hike I guess that's not surprising) I plan on replacing the insoles.

They are comfortable and look great. The soles are pretty grippy, but not squeaky. I have only had them for a few weeks, but am happy thus far.

I think that I could have ordered a 1/2 size smaller as this one seems too large. I had a Spenco cushion so replaced the original insole and now the fit fine.
