This shoe is beautiful, comfortable and high quality. I wear a size 7, medium width foot and high arches but I always take a size 37 in Eccos even though it indicates this equals an American size 6-6.5. The size 37 arch hits my foot in exactly the right spot and I can comfortably wear these barefoot or with socks.

I have several pairs of shoes in size 44, which fit correctly. The shoes, which are marked 44 are absolutely huge. They compare to a US size 12 at least. I don't know what those people at Ecco were smoking when they marked these as size 44, but it obviously distorted their depth perception

European sizing may be tricky and sometimes it is just try on and see. This leather sneaker is very well made and needs a little breaking in (like the old days, before knits). The color is a soft gray with a little pale brown hint. I like em'!
