The upper is a tough polyurethane-coated leather with a sturdy rubber foot and outsole to protect the feet from cold, crusty snow and provide excellent traction on slippery conditions.

Not what I expectedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Susan from VT on Tuesday, December 4, 2018I bought this boot as replacement for my husband's Keen winter lace up, expecting it to be similar. This boot is extremely stiff and lacing up snuggly is nearly impossible. The footbed is very flat and stiff as well. inner lining is oddly put together, in that there is an overlap that crosses uncomfortably in the front, where the lacing is, which might be the issue with the tightening. The boots are being returned, as my husband cannot wear these comfortably or securely.

They are the most comfortable, warm boots ever. So much cozy cushioning inside, and not nearly as heavy as my Sorel Caribous. We spend a lot of time in the Colorado mountains in the winter so needed highly functional boots, but didn't want to pay too much because I know he will outgrow them. Love the double lace feature, and so quick to get on and off. They are still fairly new so I can't speak to durability yet. Love these boots!

I purchased these for my son and he's excited to wear them this winter. The STP pricing sealed the deal, since he is a rapidly-growing tween and I have no idea if he may outgrow these in just one season and didn't want to spend $$$$$$
