1.0 out of 5 stars. Attention, we are not welcome here!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anastasiya F. from Russia on Monday, January 13, 2020The negative experience of the first purchase in this store, and for the first time in 10 years of online shopping !!! Instead of the legendary Red Wing 8111 size 8D, Danner Rivot 51536 size 12 EE boots were sent to me ... Is that the same thing? I've written about the disparity of the goods sent in support, provided a video of the discrepancy of the ordered goods. Support didn't apologize. So I guess they don't admit this awful mistake. That's why I conclude they couldn't sell the Danner boots and sent them instead Red Wing.I am sorry to leave a negative review, but I see the situation this way. There's no good review about the legendary shoes Red Wing as a gift for my father ... This shop even with their discounts doesn't worth the lost money, time and nerves!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Not bad for 2ndsVerified Buyer Reviewed by MK from Virginia on Thursday, December 19, 2019About what I expected - not as flawless as off the shelf at the Red Wing store. Looks still well made and no major imperfections in the leather. Fairly good value at $125 off MSRP for getting the factory seconds.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Hassle to get but worth itReviewed by MMM from California on Wednesday, December 18, 2019Have been wanting IRs for a while and though I was in luck when I found a size 10. Ordered but the next morning received an email saying it was cancelled for lack of availability. The same thing happened two more times. STP was kind enough to offer a $20 gift card to address my frustration but Rangers were available. Kept monitoring and about a week later several sizes including 10 appeared. Grabbed them and the order stuck this time. The box arrived and the boots were beautiful. I searched for a defect and found a slight pucker on the toe of the right boot. Some may have found it to be sufficient grounds for a return but everything else about them looked first rate and decided to keep them, considering the price and the $20 gift card. I've had them just about a week and the break-in process so far has been way better than expected. I already feel like they're pretty close to broken in and I can comfortably take walks of 1-2 miles. This was a nice surprise after reading a lot of horror stories and also much better than my break-in experience with Chippewa service boots. Now I get to enjoy the long-term benefits. I did size down from my "normal" 10.5 and almost feel like I could have fit a 9.5. But the size 10 is making me happy.

4.0 out of 5 stars. 1 out of 3 pair unevenReviewed by 4runnerteq from KY on Friday, December 13, 2019Went thru 3 pair before I got the right fit. My fault. Returns all went great. When I got the pair that had the right fit, the part on one of the boots where the lace eyelets are is uneven from the other boot. Not a huge deal, maybe an 1/8 to just a bit more. Doesn't change the fit it just makes the width between each side of the laces a bit different on each boot. Looks like you got a wider foot on one side than the other, doesn't pull as close together only in one section. Other than that they are great. I realize they are seconds, its just that the first 2 pair I couldn't find any issue with at all. I may have traded them out but in my excitement to get them I went ahead and Mink Oiled them. I will be getting more later. Blacksmiths probably

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great quality bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Patrick from Michigan on Tuesday, December 10, 2019They deserve the reputation they get, and at this price they really are an amazing deal. Mine came with a vibram sole instead of what was listed, but I’m even happier with that so can’t complain!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jonathan from Ohio on Sunday, December 1, 2019These are great boots. As far as quality goes for these factory seconds I have purchased many boots from red wing and found these 2nds to actually be better on many occasions. These boots run long and narrow in the toe box. Perhaps some people have narrower feet but I have found the D width to be too narrow because of the way the boots taper at the front. I have found the EE width to be too wide everywhere else. Which basically means these boots just won’t work for me.
The boots will stretch everywhere except the toe because it is two layers of leather plus canvas plus celastic toe. The celastic toe is what helps the boot keep its shape and also doesn’t stretch like you may need it to if you have a wide toe box.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Deal!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Roger from Alabama on Saturday, November 30, 2019Although these are marked seconds, I'm hard pressed to see the "flaws." There were some small scuffs here and there, but they were easily buffed out.
Also, many reviews on that other major online retailer claim these run large, with some reviewers claiming going down 1/2 to a full size. I believe these run very true to size. I measure 10.5 to 11 and 10.5 fit me perfectly. They are American made on American lasts. Many formerly American brands are now made overseas and no longer fit true to size. I have Asian made shoes that I have to get in 11.5 or 12. I sold shoes and boots for years in a family owned shoe store btw. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Best Hybrid Dress/Work Boot Out ThereReviewed by The Mad Hiker from Colorado on Wednesday, November 20, 2019I'm in leather boots all day--work, hiking, casual... These boots are fantastic because they are kind of a jack-of-all-trades that they can do a little bit of everything. For this price they are a must get especially because once broke in you can wear them all day happily. Mine came out very stiff initially, but once I put on some Garrison Gold Paste Oil, double socks, and light running about it only took a couple of days for them to fit like a glove. If you're a non-boot dude but want a pair as a fashion statement, these should be your first choice.
