Size 12 is usually roomy on me, so I'm not sure what the deal is. They seem very well made and as others commented, they are longer than stated in the inseam. I'm a 31.5 and I ordered a 30 inseam and they are the right length - just WAY too small. Not sure if I need to re-order a 14 or 16 - which in any other brand is falling off me.

I live in AZ so the light weight canvas is fine for our weather. I like the mid rise for my older body. I do not have any problem with the short zipper that others did not like. I love all the pockets as well. This was an impulse buy and I am thrilled with the fit. Would gladly buy other colors, especially at this sale price.

I think I had seen a smaller size in store and thought it looked like it might fit. I'm considering ordering again. they are thinner fabric, but That's fine for some of my uses

I was excited to find these on Sierra. I'm waist 30", hip 35" with clothes on, inseam 32", 115#. I wear 2 x 34 in Dovetail in other styles. Got the 2 x 32 in these, thinking they'd be just to my shoe tops, but they've cut these long for horse people (when you're in the saddle, you want a little stack in your jeans so the hems don't sneak up over your boots). Short zipper, yes, but these end up feeling like the height of Dovetail's other mid-rise pants. The fabric is a bit thinner, which is good for warmer weather. I'm not worried about it not holding up: Dovetail uses fabrics that can handle abrasion. These are 79% cotton, 20% Cordura® nylon, 1% elastane. And useful pockets, yes! Stylish, but not over-the-top like some western riding clothes. C****tt pants no longer fit me: too lowcut and voluminous belly area while legs are too tight (I used to wear the men's until they stopped making smaller sizes). Dovetail fits working women of all sizes, thank you Dovetail! Ordered another 2 pairs.

5.0 out of 5 stars. best jeans ever- BUY NOW!!!Reviewed by Betty from Massachusetts on Friday, August 25, 2023wicked comfortable- sturdy fabric that has lots of stretch so you can crouch and your legs won't hurt- tons of useful pockets- machine wash and dry- can CHOOSE a longer length which is rare- dark color that isn't the same old blue- these are my favorite pants ---THE RISE IS LOW BUT THEY DON'T GAP AND SHOW YOUR PRIVATES- I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY DO IT. BUY THESE- YOU WON'T REGRET IT. I wear a 16 mt in LLBean khaki trousers and I bought these in size 16 with a 34 inseam. I feel fully covered but not hot. i wore these grocery shopping many times in the summer and was comfortable. they are magical.

Near paper thin, each time you wear them they stretch even baggier. If you want a lightweight pant and dont care about increasing bagginess this will work for you. I wore these under waders and they worked ok but I wouldnt be walking around a brushy jobsite with my phone in the cargo pocket very long.

Fit way offReviewed by Whitewatermama from Southeast on Wednesday, June 21, 2023These seem so great- arrived and noticed the fly is super short, making these pants very difficult to get on despite them being very stretchy, and I generally fit well in pants that have bigger thighs and smaller waist. They're pretty thin and soft, not really consistent with work wear or canvas. So disappointing as I was so excited to see the inseam options. What a bummer.
