This particular show fits a little different because of what they call the sock-like liner. What this means is that the shoe is constructed without a tongue, but the opening has an integrated stretchy mouth where the foot enters. I'm a sock person, and wearing these with socks made them too tight for me. Without socks, they are fine. Very nice arch support.
