Anything from Fishpond is well thought out for fisherman. Sling pack is no exception and allows me a few more fly boxes, which never hurts and a place to put a light sweater and a snack.
The net holder is just brilliant.
Hard not to be happy.

Especially in winter, when waterproof really matters and digging into the pack a even couple times a day is a lot for me...it’s perfect.
When it warms up and dries out, I’ll use something with more pockets and ease of entry, but if you’re looking for a bomber waterproof sling to keep you emergency gear, food, and a couple other essentials dry as you pound the winter streams, this is exactly the pack.
I suppose the color isn’t for everyone, but I like it and if I happen to end up slipping into the drink, at least they’ll find me fast against the snow :-) -
