Mastrad Multi-Steamer - 4-Piece

I love this thing! It cooks everything in one container and everything comes out tender & flavorful. It's easy to use & comes with instructions. There are 4 pieces to this unit making it very versatile. It goes from microwave to table to dishwasher making preparing, cooking & clean up really simple. Foods don't stick, so even hand washing is easily. Since no oil is required, I'm making healthy meals for my family. I also have 2 of the smaller green 2 piece ones but they didn't come with the strainer and they only hold one serving of veggies. (I think they come in blue now too.) We are eating a lot more vegetables nowadays so the larger black one is perfect for us. This size is not big enough for company. At my house 2 people can eat the contents, if my college student is home for dinner, I have to get the green ones out for an additional vegetable or else fix a large salad. The pieces fit together perfectly so no steam is lost during cooking. 3 of the 4 pieces are silicone (in the dishwasher bottom shelf is OK) the top strainer is a sturdy (top shelf only) plastic.

I had already purchased the square Mastrad steamer, but the larger size of this steamer allows me to now prepare family-sized side dishes and meals. The steamer produces delicious tender vegetables as well as other foods. A must for every kitchen!!

I have two other smaller, elliptical steamers from Mastrad and so glad I tried this. Very versatile. You put water in the bottom of the outside container which is a hard shell, put the steamer in with your veggies or whatever, and if need be you have the flat element to steam another item above such as fish, the silicone top sits on top well; nice size for two people, easy to clean, the handles make it safe to handle in and out of the microwave, and you can handle the container and lid with no hot pads. I'm tickled with this - a keeper.

Wanted to give it as a shower gift. Not sure if I will or return it. Have not used it obviously. Everyone on the go and works so thought this would be useful.

just bought this and delighted with it. This is going to be very very useful when I need to cook things in the microwave that "spit" like meat or oatmeal. The high sides are most unusual for a microwave dish and it is made of solid weight silicone. Very very pleased with this product. I might even bake a dense fruit cake in it.

i would have liked another color to be available but I can live with the black. According to temperature guide on it it will go in the oven as well although I have really been looking for a dish with high sides to have handy to use with the microwave.
