They were snug. I like socks tall enough so the leg doesn't show above them when i sit down in pants. In addition to the rib knit pack, I also got the patterned variety, 114FW, which were too tight to wear.

These are nice, soft, semi-thick socks that retain their shape and feel comfortable against my skin. The photo looks like they stretch thin around the ankle, but that is not the case at all. I highly recommend these socks.

I do wear them, and they are pretty comfortable, and they are a nice looking sock, they would probably do great under a tall boot. They do not slide down, and they are pretty warm. I would recommend to a friend.
