Order an xl fits true to size. Coat has some bulk, it's not a cheat poly fill disposable. Great features and the quality really impressed me. Just a great coat for the money, very happy I grabbed one. Did a shower test for 20 minutes and no leaks. With its pit zips breathability we be no issue.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. A great ski jacket

I have tested this jacket over the course of approximately 6 hard days of skiing, and have absolutely no complaints. It is very warm yet still breathable, granted you need to take advantage of the "pit zips" which will very quickly cool you off. I wear this jacket with a SmartWool NTS 250 Baselayer underneath, and on a -20*F day with wind chill, was still kept warm. It has pockets galore, and the fit and finish is very good.

About Obermeyer

When Klaus Obermeyer became one of Aspen’s first ski school instructors more than 60 years ago, he had no idea that his lifelong passion would eventually lead him to start an outdoor apparel company. Among Klaus’s first innovations was a down ski jacket he created at home using recycled goose down from an old comforter. Designed and tested on snow-covered slopes in the Colorado Rockies, Obermeyer ski jackets would soon gain a reputation for offering superior weather protection, warmth and style. Although Obermeyer ski pants and jackets have come a long way in the last half a century, the tradition of making top-notch outerwear for skiers and riders remains the foundation of this brand, which is still headquartered in Aspen to this day.
