Getting into the shoes is a little tight for me as I have a high instep, but once in my feet were very happy. The insole does not appear easily removable. I pulled on it a bit and it seems to be glued down. No difference to me but thought I'd mention since the description says "removable". I'm big on durability so we'll see if they last over 10 years like my similar pair of Trask that I was pleased with. These look like they can pass the duration test though. The stitching is tight and uniform. As usual, can't beat the price at Sierra Trading Post.
